I am no food expert, but I do appreciate delicious food. My parents asked me what I was feeling for dinner, and in the spirit of Arizona I demanded Mexican!
It was taco Tuesday’s, but being the picky vegetarian that I am, none of the tacos were veggie friendly. So Carlotta’s chimichanga it was (ingredients: rice, beans, avocado, cheese and sour cream). It may not have been a super healthy choice, but the tortilla was nicely baked and super flakey and filled with delicious cheese, beans and rice! (does it get any better than that?)
Before my family started coming to Arizona, my idea of Mexican food was taco bell and the thought that everything was super spicy. So wrong, Carlotta’s is homemade with fresh ingredients, and although I love spicy food, this food is amazingly flavourful and not over-the-top spicy.
My favourite part about Carlotta’s is the fact that you feel as if you are eating a home cooked meal, oh and not to mention some pretty darn good margarita’s! After a basket of warm chips and salsa and a well portioned meal, Carlotta’s has definitely satisfied my hunger!
So if you ever find yourself in the Tuscan, Arizona area, be sure to visit Carlotta’s!
