What a weekend! I was going to post last night, but I was so tired that the thought of typing on my computer was overwhelming!! Despite being absolutely exhausted this weekend was a blast.
Lunar New Year at the Kitchener Market was a total success! This was really my first big event that I had some form of a leadership role in and I couldn’t be happier about it. For the past two weeks I have been tracking down performers and working on snagging an MC and I am happy to report that I came through and filled all of the needed spots! On event day I then became the performer liaison, making sure everyone was ready to go and got up on stage on time. Over the 3.5 hours of performances I only had to make two little changes to help make sure the show went on without a hitch! I handled it like a pro, if I don’t say so myself…..
It did feel great though, I love running around in organized chaos and that feeling of not having a single moment to sit down, all the while doing it with a smile on your face! That might sound odd to some people, but I love being busy and getting things done under pressure. I guess it’s a good thing that I am working towards coordinating events as a career!
Anyways enough of me babbling about, here is a little peek at the celebrations!!
Happy Year of the Dragon Everyone!!!
Keep those daydreams going!!
