Week six has come and gone and I am feeling quite good about it. Like I mentioned last week, I began mixing up my morning routine with a fruit smoothie for breakfast (click here for a refresher). This has been going quite well!! I have been mixing together some frozen berries, apple sauce, skim milk or greek yogurt and a touch of cocoa powder. Throw it all in the magic bullet and presto!
This past week I accompanied a girlfriend to a kickboxing class on Wednesday and oh my was that tough! The Friday workouts I have been doing are cardio kickboxing (so punching and kicking the air) this has been great but oh man you add in a bag and it is completely different challenge!! I really enjoyed the class which was 100% legs that day, but at the moment it is a bit out of my price range. Maybe I will try it out again once I am a prosperous business women, rather than a struggling student!
Anyway, more about workouts on another day. For tonight I thought I would share an example of a dinner that is typical for me!
- 2 Veggie sausages, w/ hot sauce, Dijon and ketchup
- Onions and peppers sautéed w/ oil, steak spice, chill flakes, pepper, Worcestershire sauce–not veg friendly
- Steamed veggies w/ soy sauce and pepper
- Plate garnished with a Kosher pickle (YUM!)
This is not my fanciest dinner but it was full of flavour and spice and I am stuffed!! When I have more time on my hands I am going to begin cooking up some more recipes and I will be sure to post about them all!
