Let me start off by saying I am one who is guilty of watching trashy reality TV too much for my own good. I am talking everything from the Housewives to the Storage Wars. I don’t have many shows that I watch religiously, I do however have a select few shows that I make the time to watch each week (i.e. make sure i’m home, rush to do my homework before it starts, watch instead of studying/doing homework).
My two favourites have to be True Blood and The Walking Dead! If you don’t know them, SHAME ON YOU and click HERE and HERE for more info so you can start watching immediately! I cannot get enough of either and watching them (for me) results in zombie and vampire nightmares and dreams…but I deal with it (especially when good looking male characters are involved!!!).
The newest show that I have been testing out for the past two weeks is The River (check it our HERE). The first episode was pretty creepy with paranormal activity and baby dolls hanging from trees in the Amazon. If you don’t know me I am the biggest wimp when it comes to scary movies and the dark, yet saying that I wasn’t overly scared! Now this could be due to the fact that both weeks I have had school work that I been working on which provided some distraction from the scary parts, but the first episode didn’t scare me as much as I had expected it to.
This week I decided to give it a second chance and Tuesday nights episode I really enjoyed! They changed up the bad people/spirits/things that were after them so it gave the episode a new feel. So if you are looking for a new show to check out I say give it a try! If you are a huge scary movie buff you might not be totally impressed but I personally liked it. It is filmed similar to Paranormal Activity, will the multiple cameras which creeps me out, but I am getting used to it!
So if your lives are not busy enough check out these shows and let me know what you think!!!!
The River Tuesday at 9 (ABC)
The Walking Dead Sunday at 9 (AMC)
True Blood Sundays on HBO (starting up again in the spring/summer)
Keep on dreaming day-dreamers!
