“Make a plan and stick to it” …..Those sure are some words I should listen to more often!!
I find the hardest part about my workout routine is that I often have a flash of self-determination, but I always says BUT I will start my workouts tomorrow! And I am sure it is no surprise to anyone that the next day I find myself on the couch thinking I am way to busy (clearly) to go work out! (Damn you satellite TV!!!)
Since Christmas time I said that I was going to go to the gym, and once I actually did go (which was still a week or two delayed from when I said I would go….) I finally got into a great routine. I find if I can get to the gym, or out for that run just one time I will be super motivated to keep it going. Must be all those amazing endorphins flowing!!!
Anyway, I am pleased to say I am still sticking it out at my gym and grabbing my runners 3 times a week to get my sweat on. I have finally realized that yeah, I have so much other stuff going on in my life, but sometimes I need to be the most important thing in my life. So it doesn’t matter how full my plate is I know I will feel better, both inside and out if I go to the gym and in the long run I will have more energy for the billion other things I have to accomplish.
Now go forth and take advantage of this beautiful weather to help get your fitness routine started, despite those patio beers also sounding like a wonderful idea! Maybe you can stop for one AFTER your workout…..
So get out there, get moving and keep those day dreams coming!
