The past two weeks have been pretty crazy, to be honest they were very lacking in fitness and healthy eating in general. I am horrible when it comes to stress eating, and I am normally stressed when I feel pressured by time restraints, meaning do not have time to make it to the gym either. I was pretty upset that I only made it to the gym once each week. BUT the crazy times in my life have slowed for a least a few days so this week should be more successful. However for this weeks posts I wanted to set a few fitness goals. I love the routine I have right now, but I am really feeling like I want to try some new things that keep me active. So here is a short list of ‘fitness’ goals I have for the up coming summer!
- Try rock climbing, again. I haven’t climbed since high school and I have a decent fear of heights, but I know it’s a great work out and to be honest I do trust that it would take a lot of hard work to fall off of an indoor rock wall…right?
- Hit up a Yoga studio. I have always been a yoga fan and I have gone to a class or two, but it has been a while. To be honest when I was doing yoga I had never felt better, especially in terms of my knees–which constantly give me issues.
mountainhill biking. I have a few friends that are big into biking the trails, but I am no crazy biker, but I would love to give it a go…on not so crazy trails at least!
- Get outside more. For this I just mean in general, I was so busy with work and commuting last summer that I typically just sat inside when I got home (I wasn’t the happiest camper). But there is a move, a new career and a new city to explore in my future. So I want to get out whether that be by walking, running or biking around, I think all would generally be good for my inner and outer health!!
I think checking out these activities will keep me in good form over the upcoming summer and hey there is nothing wrong with trying out old hobbies again!
