Good morning day dreamers!
So last week I was talking about cleanses, and asked for ideas/opinions I had a few responses and I am planning on trying one or two out! The first is the RESET Cleanse by Usana. This is a 5 day cleanse (perfect for someone who appreciates having a social life on weekends). I am planning on trying this out with a girlfriend! I am going to wait to talk more about it until I have tried it but, as I said it is 5 days, it consists of cleanse shakes and bars and allows for 1 serving of vegetables and fruit per day. With the idea that you should never be hungry, if you are they want you too eat. So we will see how it goes and I will report back during or after I have done the cleanse!! The second was not so much a cleanse, but a very interesting lifestyle change. It is called ‘ I Quiet Sugar’ by Sarah Wilson. My girlfriend was nice enough to send me the ebook. I am still reading and researching, but it is essentially a way to slowly reduce yourself off of refined sugar. It is not about going cold turkey off sugar and it is not a diet. It’s quite interesting. She speaks about the negative affects of sugar and the benefits to your health and your weight that can come just from cutting sugar out. My one scepticism so far is the cutting out fruit. I don’t know if I could do that on a long-term basis. On most occasions fruit is my midday snack, not a candy bar… so is that really bad for me? I will have to read more and maybe try it out to have a better opinion. Anyway this is an 8-week program that slowly kicks you from the sugar addiction and gets you on your way to a healthy lifestyle.
I am one for trying new things. I just hope this gives me that kick-start I am looking for. I really have found the last week really hard to slow down on the food and drink… I am still over excited about the summer buzz that’s in the air!!
