Well this has been a loooong week! On Wednesday I did my first event at my new job and it was a golf tournament, how perfect! As a new lover of the sport I was pleasantly surprised when I was told this would be my first major project! I came in at the later stages of planning, but we have been working for the past few weeks on all the finalizing and the little details for the event.
The day hosted almost 200 people, there were prizes some great food and lots of money raised! The tournament was held at Copper Creek Golf Club and it was beautiful!! I was lucky enough to arrive a few minutes early, so I got a quick tour of the facilities before the hard work began. The green fees are apparently not cheap, but I would really love to treat myself to a round there sometime. I am sure I would have to save up some money for a while though! Overall, the day was a total success, sure there are always the little things that happen at events, but in the grand scheme of things everyone had a great time and so did I!
As for the weather!!! If you live in the GTA, then I am sure you got some sort of rain or hail storm, but for us, other than a few drops of ran at registration the storms completely went around us! We could see the dark clouds in the distance, but the sunshine held out for our golfers!! Woohoo!
Here’s to one 14 hour day under my belt. My next event, coming very soon!!
Anyway, here are a few pictures of the course and the day!
I have so many more great pictures I wanted to share, but in the interest of confidentiality of those who participated, I didn’t feel it would be appropriate to post certain pictures. This definitely gives you a taste of what the day had in store and a little peek into Copper’s Creek! If you have a chance I suggest visiting. It is nestled just above North York in Kleinburg!
