Good Morning Daydreamers,
I apologise for not having a fitness Tuesday’s post last week. I was really having one of those weeks where I was down on myself about my own fitness goals and I was totally uninspired to write about fitness or healthy living. I felt like anything I would write would be hypocritical to my actions and feelings of the week. So instead I took a breather, got my act together and figure out what I wanted to write for this week!
When going on a healthy lifestyle journey, I feel as if it is the small things that can often make the biggest impact. Quite a few years a ago I cut pop from my diet. This impact on my weight from this alone was crazy! Now, here or there, sure I have a pop, but for the most part I never buy it and I rarely crave it. Saying this though sometimes water and club soda get a little old.
I was so happy when one of my housewarming gifts was an ice tea steeper! I love drinking tea, but when the sun is out all summer I find myself more likely reaching for a beer then something more healthy. This steeper from David’s Tea is so easy. Just put 8-10 teaspoons of loose leaf tea or a few tea bags in the jug, add 2 cups hot water and 4 cups cold water. Let it cool for an hour or two then pour it over ice. What a great refreshing summer beverage! I think I could handle substituting this for beer…at least most of the time!
