A few thoughts on staying fit. Over the past several months on my blog I have been trying to keep up a good fitness and healthy lifestyle regime. Overall, I have done fairly well. I of course have cheat days/weekends and some times my workout routine falters, but that hasn’t stopped me. I wake up the next day and get on with it.
Lately, I have been on a self-improvement mission. For several years I have struggled with various knee injuries. I suppose it is a badge to wear for how active I was throughout high school and early university. In the past few years though it has become something that is not just annoying, but it gets in the way of workouts and staying active. To top it off, recently my knee issues have turned into back issues.
So, in the spirit of self-improvement I have begun seeing a chiropractor. My hope is that this will not only improve my back and neck pain, but also help improve my knees, so that I really can get back into the game of intense workouts and long distance running.
I have been thinking about this blog series however. I want to keep doing regular posts on fitness, lifestyle and health, but I feel that “Fitness Tuesday’s” no longer identifies with what I want to chat about. In the next few weeks look out for more of a lifestyle post. Here I hope to expand and speak more about healthy lifestyle, chiropractic medicine and other health related goodies! Not to worry though, fitness is a huge part of my lifestyle and will continue to be a part of the new series!
