As a blogger and avid social media user I am used to sharing many moments of my life with the world wide web. What I try to remember and I acknowledge that I do the same, is that we are really only showing our best and happiest moments. Even on this blog I tend to keep things light and we all know Facebook and Instagram are edited not just to the best moments but literally the best angles and filters of our lives.
So why am I going on about this. For those of you that have been following my blog for the past four years, or even if you have just shown up now as I navigate through life with a newborn, I wanted to be real with you. Did I get lucky in the baby department – yes I think so, he is generally a super happy guy, he is perfectly healthy and he is a fantastic sleeper. Do I realize this is not every baby, ABSOLUTELY! But I wanted to let you know that just like every mom, I have my days where I look at Bennett as he screams and there is nothing more I can do, so I just join in and cry with him. I also have my moments where I wonder why I signed up for motherhood thing in the first place.
So I am putting it out there in the universe even though we all already know it. Nothing is perfect. I have great mom days and I have horrendous mom days. Although my son is amazing (my biased opinion), he is a baby and every day we are learning more about each other and some days are better than others.
For all of those hard working mommas out there, here is to the good days and the bad.
Until next time day dreamers.
