I know I said I would share more updates over the holidays, but to be honest, I was so caught up in holiday cheer that I didn’t even think about blogging. Other than a few Instagram updates I was totally off the grid and enjoying my family. You know what, I loved every minute of it! However, I also took lots of a pictures! Here is a little wrap up of my most amazing Christmas and New Years yet. Nothing can beat spending the holiday’s with those who you love!
Christmas number 2!

Well, we are on day two of 2013, can you believe it!! I always love to think back on what I was up to last year at this time. To tell you the truth, I was still on Christmas vacation and I was not quite ready to go back to school for the last semester of my post-grad. Today, I was back at work and in full force (well almost it is tough to get back into everything so quickly!) With all of my travels over the holidays I probably could have used a few more days of recovery!
In terms of resolutions this year, I haven’t really thought of too many. I am more looking at what there is to come in the next year, I know for sure it will be a busy one! Here is the short list of what is to come and what I am going to call goals (if they are resolutions I feel they are more likely to falter by the end of January!)
- Land myself a full-time job. I am so close to being an adult, the only thing missing is paid vacations & benefits! The hunt for full-time jobs is in full force…unless my current contract is extended indefinitely that is!
- Weddings! Weddings! Weddings! My goal is to have my business plan and some marketing up and running by the summer time for my part-time wedding business.
- My Wedding! To book the MY wedding date/venue in the next few months…that is a short-term goal for my 2014 wedding!!!
- Maid of
Honour Dishonour. I am currently helping my girlfriend plan her 2013 Thanksgiving wedding extravaganza…not only am I her MOH, but she is allowing me to plan her wedding as well, I can’t really think of a better first client!
- Keep on truckin’. In October I started a boot camp with one of my girlfriends and we are still participating in our 90-day challenge. I am hoping to keep up my fitness goals and continue to make 2013 a healthy one!
- Go on a trip. D and I have been working our butts off the last few years, with finishing up school, getting full-time jobs and starting our own business. I feel it is only fair…and my up-coming 25th birthday might be the perfect excuse!
- Start saving. With weddings and big kid life plans on the brain…I need to turn off party/spending mode and shift into a little saver…see goal number 1 to assist in this process and disregard life event number 6!
I’m sure there is plenty more in store for me this year, but here are my first few milestones that will make 2013 a great year! Even though I would love to still be on holiday’s, I am ready for you 2013.
Bring it on!
Until next time day dreamers!

Finally! Christmas holidays have arrived! After a very busy year I am very much in need of a bit of a break. This year the entire clan has flown to Arizona to celebrate the holidays and from the second we walked in the door Christmas festivities have been in full force!
The tree is up and presents are beginning to pile up at the bottom (we are all WAY too spoiled!!). In true American spirit we even hit up some Sunday afternoon football! Here is a little snip-it of our trip thus far! More to come later!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday’s to all of my readers!
Enjoy this time with your families and be sure to get in lots of relaxation time!

Christmas time is in full force over at my house. I finally started some holiday decorating and D and I enjoyed 3 family Christmas dinners this past weekend! It was super busy, but so amazing to see some family and spend some quality time together. The count down is definitely on though. One more week before D and I head to Arizona for a fantastic Christmas vacation with my family. Lots more to come on our Christmas later. Now to just stay focused for the next week at work!
Just some light decorating for me this year. The real Christmas cheer will be saved for my parents house! 1 more week before we are on our way to sunny Arizona!
Until next time day dreamers!!

I don’t know about you, but September has always been the time of year for new beginnings. You are heading back to school, new opportunities are coming your way, you say goodbye to summer–which for me has meant goodbye to the cottage, my summer job, and to cottage friends.
I graduated from University a few years ago, but last September I went back to school for Event Management. So again this is a September of transitions. No going back to school, just staying at work. So I don’t know what it is but my energy has been super low, I am struggling to get out of bed, to get to the gym, it is so brutal!
It most likely all boils down to the fact that I hate changes and being a grown up that doesn’t have the safety net of going back to school is definitely a change, once again! I am hoping things will pick up again soon, because the longer I don’t get to the gym the harder everything in my life is going to be!!
Am I the only one feeling like this? Or is it something in the crisp September air that is making us all a bit sluggish? Shouldn’t cool air make us more awake and lively?? Hm might just be me!
Until next time daydreamers.

A few thoughts on staying fit. Over the past several months on my blog I have been trying to keep up a good fitness and healthy lifestyle regime. Overall, I have done fairly well. I of course have cheat days/weekends and some times my workout routine falters, but that hasn’t stopped me. I wake up the next day and get on with it.
Lately, I have been on a self-improvement mission. For several years I have struggled with various knee injuries. I suppose it is a badge to wear for how active I was throughout high school and early university. In the past few years though it has become something that is not just annoying, but it gets in the way of workouts and staying active. To top it off, recently my knee issues have turned into back issues.
So, in the spirit of self-improvement I have begun seeing a chiropractor. My hope is that this will not only improve my back and neck pain, but also help improve my knees, so that I really can get back into the game of intense workouts and long distance running.
I have been thinking about this blog series however. I want to keep doing regular posts on fitness, lifestyle and health, but I feel that “Fitness Tuesday’s” no longer identifies with what I want to chat about. In the next few weeks look out for more of a lifestyle post. Here I hope to expand and speak more about healthy lifestyle, chiropractic medicine and other health related goodies! Not to worry though, fitness is a huge part of my lifestyle and will continue to be a part of the new series!
Until next time daydreamers!

I still cannot believe it has only been 4 years. I say that in the nicest way. I feel as if I have known D forever and 4 years can’t possibly cover what we have been through. We have definitely had our hard times with horrible family drama, long distance hardships and the adjusting that comes with living together. Despite the events that made me want to hang up the gloves and give up, the fun and love we have together has always out weighed the bad. He can make me so mad sometimes, but despite this he always manages to put a smile on my face..most often when I am trying to look angry.
In September D and I will have been engaged for 3 years, that’s hard to believe too! I often complain about having a long engagement, but at this point I wouldn’t have it any other way. It has given us the chance to move in, grow together and get our lives settled. Also, let’s be honest when it does happen it will be the party of the decade. That’s how anticipated it is from our friends and family. As Kate Hudson in Bride Wars said “Your wedding better watch it! If I were your wedding I would sleep with one eye open!” I’m not going to go that bridezilla, but its going to be pretty awesome!
Today I am going to reflect on the first 4 years of our life together and I know 99.9% of my memories will be of the good times we have already shared. Heres to another 4 years, 5 years, and 50 years of loving you will all of my heart.
I love you D.

Good morning dreamers,
This week we celebrated D’s graduation from college. It has been a long time coming and we have both gone through our fair share of struggles. There were times over the past few years where he was in school and I was working, as well as when we were both working hard to enrich our minds!
Even though I also just finished up my second round of schooling, I am so proud of D. Almost right out of highschool he knew exactly what he wanted to do and went for it. I am sometimes jealous that my path to find what I love was much more long than his (and in some ways I am still searching). I am so proud of him for his school accomplishments and his ability to always stay so determined. When it came to him and finding a job he never doubted anything for a second and was willing to take chances.
Since moving we have already started on our way to success and now that school is behind us, I can’t wait for the new adventures that are to come!
Until next time daydreamers.

We are definitely in moving mode over here! To help out the landlords we are fixing some cracks and filling in holes (I just love pictures EVERYWHERE…D is hating me for it right now!). Then on to painting…Fun fun!!
Here’s D being my amazing handyman and then some teamwork to get some painting done!!!
My bed is no more....mattress and box spring for the next 3 weeks!
My organized pigsty of a living room....I just LOVE moving
Power tools and boys...my favourite!!
My handyman in action!
I didn't say we wouldn't make a mess....
Armed and ready!
Den doing the 'cutting' aka the easy part...
Me painting the REST of the room!

The past two weeks have been pretty crazy, to be honest they were very lacking in fitness and healthy eating in general. I am horrible when it comes to stress eating, and I am normally stressed when I feel pressured by time restraints, meaning do not have time to make it to the gym either. I was pretty upset that I only made it to the gym once each week. BUT the crazy times in my life have slowed for a least a few days so this week should be more successful. However for this weeks posts I wanted to set a few fitness goals. I love the routine I have right now, but I am really feeling like I want to try some new things that keep me active. So here is a short list of ‘fitness’ goals I have for the up coming summer!
- Try rock climbing, again. I haven’t climbed since high school and I have a decent fear of heights, but I know it’s a great work out and to be honest I do trust that it would take a lot of hard work to fall off of an indoor rock wall…right?
- Hit up a Yoga studio. I have always been a yoga fan and I have gone to a class or two, but it has been a while. To be honest when I was doing yoga I had never felt better, especially in terms of my knees–which constantly give me issues.
mountain hill biking. I have a few friends that are big into biking the trails, but I am no crazy biker, but I would love to give it a go…on not so crazy trails at least!
- Get outside more. For this I just mean in general, I was so busy with work and commuting last summer that I typically just sat inside when I got home (I wasn’t the happiest camper). But there is a move, a new career and a new city to explore in my future. So I want to get out whether that be by walking, running or biking around, I think all would generally be good for my inner and outer health!!
I think checking out these activities will keep me in good form over the upcoming summer and hey there is nothing wrong with trying out old hobbies again!
Until next time day dreamers! Happy heath and fitness!
