I am a few days late with my annual New Years post, but I was at home enjoying a few more days with my family before everything kicked off. As usual I love looking back at my resolutions from the previous year. To see my 2016 post, click here.
I made 3 resolutions last year, make the most of motherhood, work hard to lose the baby weight and go vegan. I know a lot of not so great things happened in 2016, but for me personally it was a great year and I kicked butt at all of my resolutions.
My role as mom changes with every stage of development, but I am loving every moment. By the end of April I was below pre-pregnancy weight and I have been a happy as can be vegan for a full year now. Go me!
So whats up for 2017?
- Work life. 2016 was all about baby, 2017 is about getting back to work. I resigned from my previous job so we could move to our dream home. I am working hard and handing out resumes like crazy and I am working on a little side project, more to come on this later.
- Keep focused. After breaking my wrist in May, my fitness got slightly derailed. I am on the path to full recovery, so I have rejoined a box and I am staying focused on my fitness goals, even if I have to modify movements.
- Relationship focus. Like I said, 2016 was all about baby. So 2017 I am working hard to make more time for date nights, try not to get stressed out about every little detail in our lives and just enjoy being husband and wife.
- Travel. The never-ending life goal. I am hoping everything will settle down in our lives. 2016 had a lot of changes with a baby and a new home. This year I want to take some time to travel, even if that its just locally.
I am happy with these resolutions/intentions/aspirations! Happy 2017 everyone!
